Hi, I wrote a VB.Net apllication that uses the avicap32.dll to get a video stream from my webcam, it was working fine and I even added motion detection but now my webcam has diapeared from the Video Capture Device list. I'm using a Microsoft VX-3000 webcam, I have re-installed the drivers, tried different USB ports and still nothing works.
The only device I have listed in the Video Capture Device list is Microsoft WDM Image Capture which if used does not get any feed from my webcam. Has anyone got any idea how to fix this as its driving me crazy, I have even tried a different Logitech webcam and still no luck! It makes no sense as it was working the day before and I have done nothing to my system to stop it from working.

Kind Regards, OuTa-SyNc. Hi Riquel, I have already tried that exact source code to see whether I still get the error and I do, I think it may be computer related but after searching Google for days I have yet to find a solution.
The worst thing about it is that it was working 1 day and then the next it wasn't. Putting it on other computers and it works, I only posted here as I have exhausted all other means of getting a fix or some explanation as to why this has happened. I really don't want to format or re-install windows and would really appreciate any help, Is there a wayy of forcing windows to recognise my webcam as a video capture device again?
